So, back in December Caleb's bike was stolen when we were at the park. He was devastated, we were as well. We had gotten him a really nice bike...not the kmart special. Clint worked in a bike shop all during college and is big into cycling so apparantly we are bike snobs. :)Anyway...we really didn't want to fork out the big $$$ for another bike right now and it just so happened that Clint's little bro Alec still had the bike that Clint had gotten a killer deal for him on back in the bike shop days. It was needing a little TLC but my bike mechanic hubby was up for the challenge.
Saturday was the big day. The boys spent the whole day on a trip to the bike shop, then washed and scrubbed and shined and workd like crazy (in the freezing cold I might add) to get that thing together before daddy went out of the country again this week.
Caleb is stoked about his bike (Thank you Alec for the bike frame!!) and loves that it was rebuilt by daddy and the new parts he picked out on his own. Lessens the sting a bit with the whole stolen bike thing. We are back in biking business!!

Still, SO frustrating that his first bike was stolen! You feel bad for him, it wasn't his fault.
Kudos to Clint, of course, for pulling out those old bike repair/fixem skills :)
What a fun thing for Clint and Caleb to do together! The bike looks great, so glad he can get back to it!
